All Elendhirin kindred who have obtained at least 50 insights are able to participate in scheduled Family Hunts (Training Sessions may be for any range of insights or caves). We also welcome spouses and blood-sibs of our kindred to join us during these outings. All other non-kindred, including alternate personalities that are not in the clan, are not permitted to attend.
The schedule for Family Hunts and Training Sessions shows the day of the week an outing will be hosted, the time of day the party is scheduled to leave the garden, the Host's name, and the type of outing it is. Only Hunt Hosts and Council officials may host Official Family Hunts; only Council officials and Guardians (Oathsworn +) may host Family Training Sessions.
The time on the schedule is the time of departure ~ arrive at least 5 minutes early. Family Hunts and Training Sessions are scheduled for one full hour, but may last longer in some cases. If you do not stay for at least 30 minutes, you WILL NOT earn points for attending.
Note: If you do not arrive before the scheduled time of departure, the Host is NOT required to change the destination to suit your abilities. If a Training Session is scheduled for a specific range of insights or caves, please be sure that you fit into that set range before attempting to attend (i.e., if a session is scheduled for Magus1 - Hunter1, and you cannot enter any of those caves, do not attend).
The Host for a scheduled Family Hunts or Training Sessions should arrive in the garden 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time of departure; the Host is expected to invite kindred (and give relevant information, such as any set destination or cave range, if applicable) over clan chat, at least once every five minutes.
Family Hunt and Training Session parties always gather in the garden (right outside our front doors, just walk south from where you wake up in the hall) prior to departure. If you are not in the garden before the party leaves, you might not be able to attend.
The destination of a scheduled OFH (Official Family Hunt) is determined based on the insights of participants who arrive on time. A scheduled FTS (Family Training Session) event may be for a specified range of insights or caves, but the actual destination is determined based on the insights of those who arrive on time to attend.
If the scheduled Host is not available for an OFH, any other Hunt Host or Council official may host instead. Any Council official or Guardian (Oathsworn +) may lead a scheduled FTS if the host cannot be found.
A spontaneous OFH or FTS event might have a specific destination. If you are unable to enter the cave, please do not attend. The Host is NOT required to change the destination to cater to anyone, but may do so at his or her own discretion.
Remember --
Stay with your group! (For FTS outings, the Host might allow you to roam in smaller groups)
Follow the instructions of the Host!
Do not collect unless the Host asks you to do so!
Be kind to your Hunt Host!
Drops immediately belong to the family. These must be added to the clan bank, by either the Host or a Council official, directly following the outing. Drops will not be traded, sold, or in any other way given to or divided amongst participants.
Deathpiles are NOT treasure!!
Kindred are awarded family points (500 Aura and 200 Zeal) for each hour of participation in an OFH or FTS outing. If a kindred stays for 30 minutes but not the full hour, he or she earns half (250 Aura and 100 Zeal) the usual points.
The Host has full authority during the activity. Established Discipline procedures should be used for any hunter who fails to adhere to the rules of the hunt, does not follow the instructions of the Host, or otherwise disrupts the hunt. Discipline may be administered during or shortly after the hunt during which the problem took place.
